Dear Community Partners,
I am writing you today with some exciting news to share about a transition we have been working on for the past several months. Going forward, the Texas Research & Technology Foundation, and our eastside innovation campus, will be known simply as VelocityTX.
Our rationale for this decision was simple. Over the past six years, the VelocityTX brand has come to embody the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and community development that drives our work to advance San Antonio’s bioscience industry. The brand not only symbolizes the momentum and urgency with which we pursue this objective, but also represents our role as a catalyst in driving positive outcomes–globally through the life-saving technologies conceived on our campus, and locally as we promote economic prosperity through workforce development. With that said, it is important to note that our mission is not changing. Just as it has since 1984, this organization will continue to be San Antonio’s champion for delivering sustainable economic and community growth.
As we look ahead to our next 40 years of service to this great city, we are excited to carry our work forward under the vibrant banner of the VelocityTX brand. Thank you for your continued partnership.
